On Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, the New York Giants came out with energy and control, but ultimately fell 27–20 to the Green Bay Packers, slipping to 2–9 on the season. New York struck early when Devin Singletary powered in a 5-yard touchdown, set up by a sharp 20-yard connection from Jameis Winston to Wan’Dale Robinson. Winston finished 19-of-29 for 201 yards, adding a 1-yard rushing score that briefly put the Giants ahead 20-19 with just over seven minutes left.
Defensively, Big Blue held its ground in key moments, keeping Jordan Love and the Packers off rhythm early. But when Love returned from a shoulder scare, he delivered the blow that changed everything, a 17-yard touchdown strike to Christian Watson with 4:02 remaining. New York had one final chance, but a costly fumble by Micah Parsons erased hopes of a comeback.
Despite the loss, the Giants actually outgained the Packers 336 total yards to 296 and dominated time of possession by more than 10 minutes. Yet those yards didn’t become points when the game got close, leaving New York once again a few plays short.
This matchup showed a team fighting with heart but still searching for that breakthrough spark to turn effort into victories.
