The New York Giants closed out the preseason in impressive fashion Friday night, defeating the New York Jets 23–6 at MetLife Stadium. After the Jets scored on their opening possession, the Giants responded behind a strong running game and an aggressive defense. Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. scored on a six-yard touchdown run to give the Giants the lead for good.

Rookie kicker Dominic Zvada was outstanding, connecting on three field goals, including impressive kicks from 53 and 46 yards. Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. also provided a spark with three catches for 53 yards. Defensively, linebacker Zaire Barnes recorded an interception, while Trace Ford delivered a strong performance with a sack and multiple tackles for loss.

The Giants controlled the game after halftime, shutting out the Jets and adding a late 37-yard touchdown pass from Jake Haener to Xavier Gipson. The victory gave New York a 2–1 preseason record heading into the regular season.
