The New York Rangers take on the Boston Bruins in Game 3 tonight, at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers trail the series 0-2, and look to take advantage of home ice and their loud fans. The Rangers were able to do this exact same feat last round after going down 0-2 to the Washington Capitals. Falling into a 0-3 hole is almost a certain death sentence.

The Rangers will need a strong performance from Henrik Lundqvist if they are going to pull out a win. If he plays like he did in Game 2, the Rangers will be in serious trouble. In the first two games of this series, Lundvist has already let in 8 goals.

Once again, Rick Nash will be needed in a big way if the Rangers plan on winning Game 3. Nash did net his first goal of the playoffs in Game 2, and that has to be a welcomed sight for Ranger fans. Ryan Callahan is playing lights out, and the Rangers need to follow their captains’ leadership.

The Bruins are a battled tested team, and look for them to go for the kill in Game 3. They know very well that they can put a strangle hold on the Rangers should they be able to win tonight. Plain and simple, this is a must win for the Rangers if they want to continue their playoff run.
