NY Knicks end losing streak against the Timberwolves 103 to 95. Former Timberwolves coach and current NY Knicks head man Kurt Rambus get’s his first win. Carmelo Anthony and Robin Lopez lead the way. Lopez with 26 point matching his season high. Carmelo was dominant from start to finish, 30 points and 11 rebounds. A much needed win for the struggling Knicks. It’s the first win in eleven games for Knicks.

downloadRambis was Minnesota’s head coach for two seasons, posting 15-67 and 17-65 records. Before the game, Rambis said he didn’t want to be judged on his record as he moved to 1-2 since replacing Derek Fisher before the All-Star break.

It was a curious remark for a coach who claimed a playoff push is all that matters.
Rambis’ Knicks (24-33) stormed to a 14-1 lead at the start and went up 20 early in the second quarter. They found a fruitful matchup inside with Lopez posting up Minnesota’s weak frontline that still is missing center Nikola Pekovic (foot), the only player left from Rambis’ Minny days.
