The Mets have a busy week ahead of them as they start the week traveling out to Chicago for two interleague games against the White Sox, followed by a makeup game in Colorado, and ending with a home series against the Washington Nationals.

Its important for the Mets to build on the success they have accumulated recently, coming into the week having won six of their last nine games. The White Sox sit at 31-42, just a half game better than the Mets’ 30-42 record, and are in last place in the American League Central.

After the makeup game with Colorado, the Mets have another big divisional series set against the Nationals. Both the Mets and Nats are looking to catch the Braves in the division and would love to do so while hurting the other’s chances.

Adding to the intrigue of this week is the arrival of Zack Wheeler, who looked strong in his Major League start against he Braves last week and will go up against a pair of aces this week. First Chris Sale and the White Sox on Tuesday before facing Gio Gonzalez and the Nationals on Sunday. Here are all the pitching matchups for this week’s games.

Thursday June 27th vs Rockies 6 pm: Jeremy Hefner (2-6 3.89 ERA) vs. Tyler Chatwood (4-1 2.22 ERA)

Friday June 28th vs Nationals 7 pm: Dillon Gee (5-7 4.82 ERA) vs. TBA

Saturday June 29th 1 pm: Matt Harvey (7-1 2.05) vs. Ross Detwiler (2-6 4.18 ERA)

Sunday June 30th 1 pm: Zack Wheeler vs. Gio Gonzalez (3-3 3.34 ERA)
