December 27, 2015, New York City  On Sunday, December 27th, Washington National’s first baseman Ryan Zimmerman, Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard, and Chicago Cubs catcher Taylor Teagarden were all linked to PED Claims.

This link was uncovered by Al Jazeera who conducted a month-long investigation. According to mlbtraderumors.com, Al Jazeera sent Liam Collins and had an undercover conversation with Charlie Sly who is a former pharmacist intern. Sly told Collins that he sold Ryan Howard and Ryan Zimmerman a hormone supplement known as Delta-2 which is both specifically designed to evade drug tests and included Major League Baseball’s list of banned substances. In the documentary, Taylor Teagarden is shown in an undercover video discussing how he took PED’S in previous seasons. Sly has stated that he has had a working relationship with Ryan Zimmerman for six years. Sly has noticed that there has been an increase in power from Zimmerman. Zimmerman, Howard, and Teagarden all deny the reports.

It’s not just Major League Baseball players involved in these claims. NFL players have been part of the claim. Denver Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning, James Harrison, and Mike Neal have all been accused. They also deny the reports.

Neither the NFL nor Major League Baseball has issued any suspensions. If the MLB were to suspend the three players, they would face an 80-game suspension because they are first time offenders.

The Washington Nationals made a statement to MLB.COM, “Zimmerman has been an integral member of the Washington Nationals family for the past 11 years. During that time he has been the model for all that we ask our players to be, contributing to his community and to the game of baseball.” Ryan Howard’s attorney says, “These reported links are completely false.” Peyton Manning told ABC.COM, “Yes, I have been a patient under Dr. Guyer. I have had nutrient therapy, oxygen therapy, and other treatments that are holistic in nature but never HGH.
