Rangers vs. Bruins Game 2

The New York Rangers look to take revenge against the Boston Bruins after a dramatic Game 1 loss in overtime.  The Rangers are 4-1 in regulation and 0-3 in OT this post-season.

After two-overtime loses against the Washington Capitals in the first round of the playoffs, the Rangers are no strangers to a heart breaking defeat. In the first round, the Rangers were able to dig deep and play with a sense of urgency. That is what they will need to do in order to even the series in Game 2 at Boston. Hopefully someone will relay that message to Rick Nash. After his first 8 playoff games as a Ranger, Nash needs to pick up his play if the Rangers want to get past the Bruins. With Henrik Lundqvist in net, the Rangers confidence should be sky high. They simply cannot afford to keep wasting brilliant performances from Lundqvist, and need to find a way to gut out a win in Boston.

Keep an eye out for Derick Brassard. He has been the unsung hero in these playoffs for the Rangers and look for him to continue his play in Game 2. After coming from Columbus in a trade for Marian Gaborik, Brassard has been everything the Rangers wished for when they pulled the trigger on the trade.

Falling 0-2 to the Bruins will be a tall task to come back from. John Tortorella needs to get his team focused on Game 2 and take their minds off the Game 1 loss. After falling behind 3-2 to the Capitals in round 1, the Rangers will find out if they have enough gas to get past the Bruins. Check back after Game 2 for complete analysis.
