Giant’s rookie wideout, Sterling Shepard, was seemingly everywhere on the field Wednesday for the 2nd week of OTAs. With Odell Beckham Jr. not in attendance and Victor Cruz working on the side, Shepard took the opportunity to make more than a few plays.

The Rookie receiver was starting to look like the player many scouts were talking about going into the draft. You can start to see the Cruz comparisons. Although not the tallest receiver on the field Shepard’s route running ability and hands are what could get him into the starting lineup. On Wednesday, Shepard had a few catches inside that he bounced outside as well as the highlight catch of the day. Later in the practice he made a leaping catch deep down the sideline over the safety and corner.

Although Shepard hasn’t started with the first team yet, Eli Manning has thrown his way. Manning also stated that he hasn’t seen #87 drop a pass yet. Impressive.

After practice Sterling was seen getting the rookie treatment carrying two helmets, one which looked to be Victor Cruz’s. Shepard is only a few weeks in, but seems to be fitting in great and also has a good head on his shoulders. It is early, but this young receiver just looks like he belongs in the NFL.
