NY Knicks: Reports from ESPN, Landry fields has a verbal agreement with the Toronto Raptors. The deal is for three years and 20 million dollars. Now it’s up to the Knicks to match the offer. Although Fields is a solid player $20 million is way too much for his services.
Landry entered the league as a second-round draft choice out of Stanford. In his first season with the Knicks, Fields was a key component in the run-and-gun offense under Mike D’Antoni. Fields’ game is geared to that type of play. He’s a slasher spot up shooter and on occasion he can knock down the three.
Fields averaged 9.3 points per game with 2.0 assist per game in his first season. He is a solid player great with media and in the lockeroom. Although the offer will not be completed until July 11, when teams can officially sign players.
