The Knicks came into Saturday night with a four game winning streak as they took on the Miami Heat at the Garden. All the buzz surrounding the Super Bowl on Sunday brought in a big crowd to the Garden with many celebrities.

The Heat were just too much for the Knicks down the stretch as they beat the Knicks 106-91. Lebron James had a great game as he contributed 30 points to go along with 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 6 steals. Dwayne Wade also had a nice game scoring 22 points on 10 of 16 shooting. It was a complete team effort from Miami and New York could not contain them. Shane Battier also scored 16 and locked down on Carmelo Anthony making it very difficult for the Knicks to get anything going through their best player.

Carmelo did score 26 points and had 8 rebounds but it just wasn’t enough as the Heat pulled away late. JR Smith continued to turn his disappointing season around scoring 20 points on 6 of 11 shooting. Rookie Tim Hardaway Jr. continued his great play as he score 17 points. Amare’ Stoudemire played just 4 minutes while Tyson Chandler looked very weak on defense despite recording 11 boards. The Knicks were also without Iman Shumpert because of a shoulder injury suffered earlier in the week.

The Knicks will take on the Bucks on the Road on Monday. Then, the Portland Trailblazers will come to New York on Wednesday at the Garden for a very tough matchup for the Knicks.

Notes: According to sources Andrew Bynum, who signed with the Indiana Pacers on Saturday, was on the Knicks radar. Reports say that the Knicks were heavily pursuing Bynum this past week.
