NY Jets: The 0-1 Jets head west to face the high powered Oakland Raiders. Last week in Buffalo the the Jets managed to stay in the game, although the offense struggled to move the ball. Eventually the Bills offense got it going, LeSean McCoy was the key factor in the Bills 21 t0 12 victory.Defensively the Jets gave up 218 yards through the air and 190 yards on the ground. While no one is saying the Jets are championship caliber team, defensively they boast a talent front four lead by pro bowl lineman Leonard Williams. Defensively the Jets ranked 11 in the NFL last season against the run.
How will the Jets fare against the Oakland Raiders? The Raiders are talented group lead my quarterback Derek Carr. Carr has a number of weapons to choose from, starting with wide-out Amari Cooper. Not to mention during the off-season they add Marshawn (Beast Mode) Lynch. Defensively the Jets have to control the line of scrimmage. Try to keep the Raiders offense off the field as much as possible. Jets QB Josh McCown must have an efficient game. The last time he faced the Raiders as member of the Cleveland Browns, McCown threw for 341 yards and and two touchdowns.
Jets fans can hope for the best, but the Raiders are a well oiled machine, this could get ugly.
