Jets Packers Preview

The Jets will have their hands full when they step into Lambeau field Sunday to play the Green Bay Packers. Lead by their star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, coming off a loss to last year’s super bowl champion Seahawks. Rodgers will be looking to get back on track with his receivers Randall Cobb, and recently paid Jordy Nelson. Rodgers was 23/33 for 189 yards with an interception and a TD. Part of the struggles could be from the lack of impact from their run game. Eddie Lacy only had 34 yards on 12 carries and James Starks had 37 yards on 7 carries. But we all know rushing against the “Legion of Boom” is a tall task for any back. Rodgers feasts on the play action pass, and with a non efficient rushing attack it makes it hard to run the offense.

The Jets will have Dee Milliner back to help them in the secondary to stop Rodgers. Milliner has been sidelined for the preseason and the first game against the Raiders. He is who they are banking on to solidify the secondary of a strong defense. The defensive front did a great job of eliminating the Raiders rushing attack last game to only 25 yards. As well as getting pressure on Derek Carr for 2 sacks. Carr however is not nearly on the same level as Rodgers. They will need to clean up their penalties, as they were penalized 11 times for 105 yards.

Prediction: The Jets defense has a valiant effort, but key 3rd down conversions by Rodgers and the Jets inability to play without penalties come back to haunt them. Jets 20 Packers 34
