November 1, 2015, Queens, NY  Call it a Kenyan Sweep. The TCS New York City Marathon was dominated by Kenyan runners Mary Keitany and Stanley Biwott on the Women’s and Men’s sides of the race.

Biwott finished with a time of 2:10:34, and Keitany won with an impressive time of 2:24:25.  Rounding out the top five on the men’s side of the draw were: Geoffery Kamworor, Kenya (2:10:48); Lelisa Desisa, Ethiopia (2:12:10); Wilson Kipsang, Kenya (2:12:45); and Yemane Tsegay, Ethiopia (2:13:24). On the women’s side, the runners who placed second through fifth were: Aselefech Mergia, Ethiopia (2:25:32); Tigist Tufa, Ethiopia (2:25:50); Sara Moreira, Portugal (2:25:53); and Christelle Daunay, France (2:26:57).
