The Knicks took on the Indiana Pacers Sunday afternoon in a showdown for the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conferendce Playoffs. With a 90-80 win, the Knicks secured their playoff postion and sealed their fait to face the Boston Celtics in the 1st round of the playoffs which kicks off Saturday, Aprril 20th.
Despite the win, the Knicks didn’t escape the game without a scare. Carmelo Anthouny suffered a bruised right shoulder that forcedc him to leave the game late in the third quarter. Fortunagely for the Knicks, Melo’s abscesne was breif and he was cleared to reenter the game by the team trainter. Melo, however, never made it back on the court, as the Knicks kept the Pacers at arms leanght late in the 4th quarter without Melo.
The Playoffs are just a week away and now the real challenge begins for the Knicks as they get set to face off against the Boston Celtics in what will certainly be a physical and likely hardfought matchup.
