NY Knicks: The NY Knicks began their preseason last night, against the Boston Celtics. Defeating, the Celtics 103 to 102 lead by Iman Shumpert with 18 points. Shumpert mentioned earlier in the week that he wanted the teams around the league to respect his offensive game. He showed everyone last night that he’s ready to take his game to the next level.
The new editions to Knicks Metta World Peace and Andrea Bargnani both scored in double figures., Carmelo Anthony had 7 points in limited minutes. Late in the fourth quarter the Celtics outscored the Knicks 20 to 3., cutting a 23 point lead to 3 with 1:54 left to play in the quarter.
The night belonged to Tim Hardaway Jr however. With his father in attendance Hardaway Jr. scored 10 of his 16 point in the fourth quarter, including the game winning basket, with 8.2 seconds left in regulation. The Knicks are headed to Toronto to face the Raptors on Friday night.
