NY Knicks: Did we witness a change in the Eastern Conference last night?  The Knicks rolled into Miami and dismantled the Heat, 112 to 92. Carmelo Anthony missed last night’s game due to injury.

You have to tip your hat to Knicks coach Mike Woodson and his coaching staff.  No matter who’s on the floor, the Knicks are committed to playing defense.  The Knicks held the Heat to twelve points in the fourth quarter – not too shabby for a team whose best players were out of the lineup due to injuries.

Guard Raymond Felton led the Knicks in scoring with 27 points and 7 assists.  Steve Novak added 18 points off the bench while JR Smith added 13 points and 6 rebounds.  Although Jason Kidd’s numbers were not overwhelming, his leadership kept the Knicks from unraveling late in the fourth quarter.

The loss for the Heat was the worst at home since the Big Three were assembled.  Lebron James led the Heat in scoring with 31 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists.  Dwyane Wade was a non-factor as he appeared to be suffering from some type of injury.

Carmelo Anthony is still day-to-day with a finger injury.  The Knicks have not confirmed his status for the game on Saturday in Chicago.
