The Knicks traveled to Oklahoma City on Sunday with hopes to get a little winning streak going against the Thunder. It was a battle of the leagues top two scorers which ended up being a lopsided matched up as Carmelo would be held to 15 point and Kevin Durant continued to be near unstoppable.

The Knicks were able to hang in there for most of the first half and went into the locker room trailing by just 5 at halftime. The second half was a different story as Durant and the thunder would slowly pull away behind another great game by Kevin Durant. Raymond Felton and Amare Stoudemire would lead the Knicks with 16 points each.

Kevin Durant was near a triple double as he totaled 41 points to go along with 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Durant also guarded Anthony for most of the game which helped hold him to just 15 points on 5 of 19 shooting. Reggie Jackson also had a strong game with 19 points and 6 assists as he continues to play heavy minutes in the absence of Russell Westbrook. Serge Ibaka would total 16 points and 9 rebounds on the afternoon.

The Thunder would roll past the Knicks 112-100 in a game where the score was much closer than the game actually felt. The Knicks now losers of four of their last five and questions continue to surround Mike Woodson on his job security. After a 54-28 record last season the Knicks are now 20-31 this year looking outside the playoffs trying to fight to get in. This past week the Knicks head coach called this season “a disaster” and rumors also continue about the future of the team. Off the court distractions appear to be carrying over on to the court and the Knicks will have to find a way to stop the bleeding. Luckily for the Knicks they will host a 17-34 Kings team in their next game as they try to get on the right track.
