Ionescu and the New York Liberty will play in the WNBA Finals for the second consecutive year after they defeated the Las Vegas Aces in the semifinal round. The Liberty defeated the two-time defending champion Aces 76-62 in Game 4 on Sunday to take a 3-1 series win.
Ionescu led the Liberty with a game-high 22 points along with seven rebounds, two assists and two steals. The Liberty have reached the WNBA Finals six times in franchise history, but they have never won a title. Liberty fan are hoping for a better outcome this year.
Now, the Liberty await the winner of the Connecticut Sun – Minnesota Lynx series, which will play a deciding game five on Tuesday. The WNBA Final begin 10/10/24 at Barclays Center.
