Giants Keys To Victory:

  • Establish a run game. With Washington allowing the Redskins are third in the NFL in allowing 64.7 yards per game, New York needs to show them that they can run right at them allowing them to open up the passing lanes.
  • Keep Eli in rhythm. Manning was 21 of 28 last week and finally it seemed like his timing was improving and he was reading his progressions nicely. If they can use last week as a momentum swing they might be able to create some big plays tonight.
  • Stop DeSean Jackson. It’s obvious, but needs to be in here. Jackson always poses a threat to the Giants and Rodgers-Cromartie needs to make a statement tonight that he can be stopped.

Redskins Keys to Victory

  • Continue to stop the run. By stopping the run they can make the Giants one dimensional and make it easier to frustrate Eli.
  • Limit Turnovers. The Giants are 6-0 when winning the battle since the start of 2013, but only 2-11 when they are even or minus in turnover margin.
  • Special Teams. New York hasn’t played completely sound on special teams so if the Redskins can take advantage they could end up in good field position and possibly some points.

Cruz Control: The Giants must continue to feed Victor Cruz as he can create plays with the ball in his hands especially against Washington’s susceptible secondary. If the Redskins can control Cruz they will be one step closer to a “W”.

Facts Are Facts

  • New York is 22nd against the pass on defense, while Washington is third in passing yards.
  • All 3 road teams on Thursday Night Football have lost by at least 20 points.
  • DeSean Jackson has the most catches (50) against the Giants than any other team.
  • The Redskins lead the league over the past two weeks in points scored with 75.
  • Washington fullback Darrel Young has 3 touchdowns this year, most by any fullback or Redskin.
  • Eli Manning has won two straight and nine of his last 12 starts against Washington.
  • Rashad Jennings is 3rd in rushing yards this season.
