The New York Rangers went up 3 goals to none in the first 10 minutes including 2 goals just 28 seconds apart to beat the rival Flyers 4 to 1.
Daniel Carcillo got the blueshirts on the board first with a backhand through the legs of Ray Emery. Moments later Rick Nash would get a good feed in the slot from Chris Kreider and wrist a rocket over Emery’s right pad. Derick Brassard would add the third with Zuccarello and Pouliot getting the assists.

Chris Kreider scored the lone second period goal during a two on one with Rick Nash. He drove to the net and made a move to the backhand and slid one in off the skate of a Flyer defenseman.
Things got heated between Carcillo and Wayne Simmonds during the whole goal that would result in a couple of fights in the third. Mark Streit scored Philly’s only goal on the power-play after Mats Zucarello was sent off for a holding penalty.

Lundqvist made 17 saves in the first period and 37 for the full 60 minutes and looked to be back in Vezina form. The Rangers are moved to third in the Metropolitan Division.
