The Big East reign of UConn is over. Dion Waters scored 18 points to lead #1 Syracuse into a Semifinal matchup tomorrow  against #4 Cincinnati.

UConn had its 13 game post-season victories snapped which also put a hold on their quest to repeat as NCAA Men’s Basketball Champions.

Shabazz Napier lead Connecticut with 15 points and his side kick Jeremy Lamb added 10 points. Andre Drummond also recorded a double-double 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Syracuse was able to survive and get a victory with their scoring guard Scoop Jardine not shooting well. This opened up the floor and allowed others to step up offensively.

The orange season record now stands at 31-1, this record shows that Syracuse is not fazed by any investigations and are only invested in playing basketball.
