The Brooklyn Nets forged a team of superstars over the past few seasons, but who truly is their go to guy in crunch time?

Throughout the season Brooklyn has rode the hot hand, considering they have 5 big time playmakers in Pierce,Garnett,Williams,Johnson, and when healthy, Brook Lopez. But, in last second situations and crunch time who gets the ball?

The answer is quite simple. Meet Joe Johnson. Johnson is the Nets version of silent, but deadly. For Joe the game just comes to him and everything else can play out like it needs to. His words may not be well heard, but his solid play on the court is certainly loud. Perhaps Johnson’s most important contribution to this Nets team is his clutch playmaking ability late in games. Iso Joe seems to play in slow motion, he takes what is given to him and converts over and over again.

When asked about Johnson Kevin Garnett said,”Joe likes to fly under the radar…he’s as cool as it comes.”

Deron Williams said he enjoys the chemistry between him and Joe saying, “He’s caused some mismatches and making the right plays, passes. I definitely think he’s under appreciated, but we appreciate him.”

Shawn Livingston stated that he “didn’t even know he was this clutch.” he went on by saying “He definitely delivers. His track record is pretty flawless.”

Johnson seems to have been able to showcase himself further after he was traded to Brooklyn. At practice Saturday Joe had a few thing to say when asked about his transition to the Nets and Brooklyn.

“It’s been a great change. I’ve enjoyed playing here in Brooklyn.” Johnson said “It’s opened my eyes to new ideas.” he continued.

Johnson also mentioned the excitement he gained with the team’s new acquisitions of Garnett and Pierce saying, “I’ve never went into a season with those expectations.”

Iso Joe has been nothing short of huge for Brooklyn. He’s silent, he’s deadly, he’s clutch, and he is Joe Johnson.
