NY Knicks: The Knicks are back at the Garden and Linsanity is at its highest  peak.  It was a slow start for the Knicks as the Hornets came out blazing.  The Knicks could only muster 13 points in the first quarter but they would battle back in the second quarter to cut the lead to four points 43 t0 39 at the half.  Lin struggled in the first half with eight turnovers in the first half. Amar’e Stoudemire led the way with 14 points and 3 rebounds.

In the 3rd quarter it was the Trevor Ariza show as he caught fire knocking down back to back three’s, pushing the Hornets lead to 12 with 4:30 left in the third quarter.  For some reason the Knicks were a step slow on the defensive end, allowing the Hornets to push the lead back to ten points at the end of the third quarter.lin

Lin continued to struggle on the offensive shooting the ball but his presence kept the Knicks within striking distance. Early in the fourth the Knicks bench was the key to the fourth quarter come back. Iman Shumpert spelling Lin at the point made some key basket to cut the lead to four with 6:06 left in fourth quarter.

Althought the Knicks fought back cutting the lead to two points with 2:30 left in fourth, the Hornets were the better team tonight – ending the Knicks seven game winning streak 89 to 85 the final.
