DeMar DeRozan scored 24 followed by Kyle Lowry with 22 on a night where the Brooklyn Nets lost to the Raptors 79-87 to even the series at two games a piece. The Raptors started the game on a 13-2 run keeping the Nets down by double digits for most of the first half, but Paul Pierce finally got Brooklyn going before the half. Pierce started a comeback for the Nets who were down by as much as 17 points in the second quarter. Brooklyn would go into the half down 51-44, but showed signs of getting back into the game. Brooklyn came out of the half strong continuing to inch closer to Toronto and would eventually take the lead in the third. The game was looking like a win for Brooklyn until the Nets couldn’t score a basket. The Nets were held scoreless for the final 4:57 mins left in the game. It was the first time a team was held score less for that long in a playoff game since 1998.

For Brooklyn Deron Williams and Joe Johnson played they’re worst games of the series. Williams scored 10 points and Johnson was held to 7. They would rely on Paul Pierce who had 22, but wasn’t enough for the Nets to pick up the win. Brooklyn now gives back the series to Toronto and are looking at a tougher road ahead.

  1. Yeah, you put right – all the highlights go to the Raptors. An I’m afraid the Nets just gave the series back to Toronto – for GOOD! The last 5:00 was pathetic and as you said crushing, because they just gave the Raptors all the added confidence they need to CRUSH the dreams of Nets fans! Sorry to say I’ll be shocked if the Nets come back now…
