The Devils continued their losing ways against rival Pittsburgh last night.

41 seconds into the game, Penguins’ Pascal Dupuis put it behind Cory Schneider, giving him his fifth goal of the season.  Schneider looked to have frozen the puck, but the goal stood.  At 7:55, Chris Conner picked up his second goal of the season on a breakaway, making it 2-0 Penguins.  At 14:40, Jayson Megna made it 3-0, his fourth of the season.

In the second period, the Devils started to show some life. At 3:24, Patrick Elias got his seventh goal of the season making it 3-1.   Then at 4:20, Dainius Zubrus made it 3-2 getting his fifth goal of the season.

No team would score in the third period, making the final score 3-2. The Devils travel back home tonight, against the visiting Tampa Bay Lighting.  The puck drops at 7:00.
