Miami: NY Knicks continue their winning streak, defeating the short handed Miami Heat last night 102 to 90, capturing the season series and 9 straight wins.
Carmelo Anthony was on fire last night dropping a season high fifty points. This is the third time Melo scored 50 in his career, this is the first time with the Knicks.

This is an important win for New York. The Knicks are tied with the Indiana Pacers for the second best record in the Eastern Conference.

Some Knicks’ tidbits: this is the ninth-consecutive win it gives the team its longest winning streak since 1993-1994 when they won 15 straight… The last Knicks player to score 50 was Jamal Crawford and he coincidentally did it against the Heat on Jan. 26, 2007… This is the Knicks’ 20th road win of the season, which is the team’s most since the 1996-1997 season… This is also the first time the Knicks have been 21 games over .500 since the ’96-’97 season as well… According to a tweet from ESPN’s Tom Haberstroh, only three other players have scored over 50 points against the Heat in Miami: Vince Carter, Michael Jordan and Alex English… Tyson Chandler played in his first game since the Knicks March 3 loss to the Denver Nuggets. He finished with one point and two rebounds in 24 minutes.
