At Nets Practice on Thursday Brooklyn players were asked about how it’s going to be playing in front of their fans for the first time in this series. When asked many  players responded with some excitement and smiles.

Deron Williams mentioned the need to protect home court and playing off of the fan’s vibe. Coach Kidd went on by saying “We have the best fans”. Alan Anderson responded by saying “It’s Brooklyn….it’s gonna be more rowdy.” Kevin Garnett said earlier in the week “I don’t know if you can say F-Brooklyn and then come into Brooklyn.” Joe Johnson was asked if the Toronto GM would start more fans up in Brooklyn. “I don’t know if their GM is going to be here or not,” Johnson said, “but I’m sure Brooklyn is looking forward to it.”

With an important Game 3 on the line tonight in Brooklyn, the Nets must seize the opportunity they have to go up 3-1 in the series by winning both home games. The teams have split two games in Brooklyn in the regular season.

Raptor’s coach Dwayne Casey has a young team that he is leading into Brooklyn and although they’ve won there before, the playoff are different and Casey is expecting a hostile environment. “That’s one thing that concerns me about our young team is going into a hostile environment,” Casey said.

With a young team on the road Brooklyn fans could provide the Nets with an edge over Toronto in the next two games.
