Miami:  The Brooklyn Nets were in Miami on Wednesday night to face the Miami Heat.  The Nets will be without starting small forward Gerald Wallace.  Wallace injured his left ankle in the Nets opener against the Toronto Raptors.  Keith Bogans will move to the starting line up to replace Wallace.

The Nets looked over-matched against the Heat.  Deron Williams has not been effective in the last two games. The Nets (1-2), who boasted before the season of competing for a title and being the best team in New York, lasted just two games before their first blowout loss.

Kris Humphries carried the Nets in the first quarter, scoring nine points and grabbing seven rebounds in the first six minutes. He finished with his first double-double of the season, with 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Lebron James dominated the Nets on both ends of the floor. James was two assists shy of a triple double, finishing with 20 points and 12 rebounds. The Heat only loss came at the hands of the NY Knicks, who are undefeated on the season at (3-0).

The Nets backcourt comprised of Deron Williams and Joe Johnson have yet to live up to the hype.  Johnson was a non-factor in last night’s game. He scored a season low nine points, 4 of 14 from the field.

The Nets should be embarrassed after an uninspired effort from their key players.  It’s back to the drawing board for the Nets as they lose to the Heat 103 to 73.
