December 29, 2015, Queens, NY  Last week, D-Day, Danielle Alcide, went 14-2 to lead our field of NFL experts. For Week 16, John Payant (J-Pay) returned to the top of the leaderboard with Fox Sports’ Mike Hill; both posted a record of 10-6 on arguably the toughest week this season based on the number of upsets.

D-Day, Jerald Hoover, and hip-hop icon Kool Moe Dee tied for second coming in at 9-7. Mike Anthony Dennis went 8-8, and Vincent Davis was 7-9. John Payant goes into Week 17 with a sizable lead over the field having the most wins as well as the most overall correct picks.

Expect the sparks to fly in the last week of the regular season as our experts look to end on a high note. The last week of the regular season can be hard to predict because it’s difficult to gauge the motivation of teams that are out of the playoffs. Some teams relish playing the role of spoiler while other teams have started their vacationing early. Look for the Amsterdam News’ sport reporter Vincent Davis to bounce back big time. His 7-9 record put him in the basement for Week 16, and that doesn’t sit well with the “prideful” Mr. Davis. Plus, he doesn’t like being bested by PureSportsNY’s editor-in-chief and always dangerous Jerald Hoover.

D-Day, the only female in the bunch, has proven that she can’t just hang with the boys, but that she can beat them. Look for her to be on or near the top of the leaderboard. Mike Dennis (BronxBorn) was not pleased with his record for Week 16 (8-8). Expect him to make a strong run at the top spot. Kool Moe Dee hasn’t won since Week 8. He’s going to finish impressively. Mike Hill wants the top spot and is not looking to share it with anyone–including JP. Speaking of JP, he’d like nothing more than to end the regular season with a victory.
