Rangers Fall At Home Again

The New York Rangers scoring struggles continue and so does their defense as they fall to the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-2.

Henrik Lundqvist was pulled and sat the rest of the game on the bench after just over 11 minutes into the first period. Matt Calvert blew by Anton Stralman and rifled one above the glove of Lundqvist. Former Ranger, Artem Anisimov would be the beneficiary of a 3 on 1, after rookie Dylan McIlrath was caught pinching in. The Blueshirts defense picked up a bit after that, but it was far too late. David Savard would add another goal moments later that would deflect off of Michael Del Zotto and into the net, ending Lundqvist’s night.

The Rangers got one back with Dominic Moore’s first goal of the season. Brad Richards would add an assist on the play.Dan Girardi would get the Rangers back within one but Ryan Johansen ripped one past back-up Cam Talbot that squeaked over the line.

The Rangers are 0-4-1 in their last 5 games.
