NY Knicks: Another surgery for Knicks Forward the 100 million dollar man Amar’e Stoudemire. Reports surfaced over the weekend that Amar’e Stoudemire will undergo surgury on his right knee, a serious blow to the NY Knicks.
Stoudemire had the same surgury on his left knee earlier this season. The surgery, called a debridement entails the removal of dead tissue and debris from and around a wound to expose healthy tissues. Stoudemire will be out for at least six weeks. Though his rehab will probably begin in the immediate post-op period, whether he will be returning to full competition after the surgery to help the Knicks win the Eastern Atlantic division is questionable.
