The Knicks fell to the Miami Heat Sunday as they tried to rebound after losing another tough game in the closing moments Friday night against the Washington Wizards. As if losing to the Heat wasn’t rough enough, the Knicks also saw the team they were chasing win moving New York two games behind the Atlanta Hawks with just four games remaining.

The Knicks were led by JR Smith who had 32 points and five rebounds on the night. All of the Knicks starters were in double figures with little help from the bench. Rookie Tim Hardaway Jr. who has been good for the Knicks all season long, was 0-7 from the field.

Miami was guided by a great performance from Lebron James as he had a big afternoon scoring 38 points to go along with five rebounds and six assists. Mario Chalmers would add 15 points and Chris Bosh added 14 points as the Heat improved to 53-23 on the season.

The Knicks will now try to win out the rest of the season with only four games left on the schedule, their chances of making the playoffs are looking very slim. The Knicks will play Toronto, Brooklyn, Chicago, and Toronto again to finish up the season.
