NEW YORK — Mirza Teletovic scored a team-high 20 points and Joe Johnson and Mason Plumlee each added 17 and the Brooklyn Nets beat the Magic 97-88 Sunday night. The Nets opened up the game outscoring Orlando 33-21 in the third quarter as they hold on to the fifth seed in the East, two games over the Wizards. The recent emergence of Mason Plumlee really has sparked the Nets and has provided a solid player at center, something they haven’t had in a long time ever since Lopez hasn’t been able to stay healthy. It was fan appreciation day and the Nets not only provided the fans with a win, but they also have now given them hope for the playoffs.
