Rangers win in Montreal; Talbot gets first career shutout.

NY Rangers: Not having won in Montreal in over 4 years, the Rangers were determined to finally get a victory. With Lundqvist  struggling in recent years against the Habs, Alain Vigneault went with rookie backup, Cam Talbot. Talbot made some spectacular saves when the blueshirts needed him most and the Rangers skated away with a 1-0 shutout.

Ryan Callahan deflected a shot off the stick of Brad Richards on the power-play. Derek Stepan added an assist on the play.

Carey Price made 33 saves including robbing Brad Richards late in the third to give his team a chance to tie things up.

Special Notes: Justin Faulk replaced Michael Del Zotto in the Rangers  third defensive pairing. The face-offs were dead even at 27 .  The Rangers next game is Sunday against the Los Angeles Kings.  ( Photo Courtesy of the Montreal Gazette)
